ANHD’s Affordable Housing Institute (AHI) is partnering Strada Ventures on a two-part training course on cost certification, 50% tests, and cost adjusters. Covered in this course will include the following: • What is a cost certification and why is it important? • How is a cost certification developed? By whom? Who needs it? • What is the developer’s role in the process? What is best practice for a developer regarding the cost cert? • What is the 50% test and why is it important? • How is the 50% test developed? By whom? Who needs it? • What is the developer’s role in the process? What is best practice for a developer regarding the 50% test? • What are cost adjusters? What are timing adjusters? What does a developer stand to gain or lose? • Case study of developer’s preliminary cost cert and 50% test analysis This virtual training will be taught by Courtney Horwitz, Founder and Principal of STRADA Ventures, LLC, a real estate consulting and development company with expertise in affordable housing.
